Description of Groups and Services
- Psycho-Educational Groups: Education is provided on chemical dependency, mental health, diet and nutrition, physical fitness, and recovery topics.
- Relapse Prevention: Group members learn how to identify relapse triggers and scenarios that lead to relapse. Specific techniques are taught to help interrupt the relapse cycle while learning to develop healthy coping mechanisms.
- Family Group: Clients, family members, and significant others receive education on chemical dependency and mental health issues. Dysfunctional communication patterns and problematic family dynamics are addressed.
- Process Group: The group provides a safe place to explore emotional issues, challenge problematic thinking patterns, and develop effective problem-solving techniques.
- Men's and Woman's Recovery Group: Clients are able to process gender-specific issues with a trained therapist in a safe, secure, group environment.
- Dual Diagnosis Group: The relationship between mental health issues and chemical dependency is explored. Clients learn strategies to proactively address and manage mental health problems that interfere with sobriety.
- Milieu Therapy: Clients process thoughts and feelings in the milieu setting with both staff and peers. They begin practicing new socially appropriate behaviors and are encouraged by peers dealing with similar issues. The impact of peer influence becomes paramount in the recovery process.
